Seeing the Sturges films will probably be fun for Dan, as so many cultural references have their roots in those kinds of films–it will be like growing up and realizing that one knows Mussourgsky and Tchaikovsky, from children’s cartoons.

The shoe box/bag idea is great. Amid all the talk about radical changes required for a more green/less carbon-emitting planet, it’s good to recognize that many necessary changes are neither radical nor objectionable–but require initiative. This is a concrete example of how green can be better business–and Nora’s point is a good one about what a difference this can make when large scale production is involved.

That office space looks great! If it were affordable, I’d want one. I wonder what price point they will use.

i just sent an email to office pod. let’s see if we can get one here in canada and what the cost will be. i’m saying……….4K. what do you think????

  3. gurdonark Says:

I think that the cost ought to be less than 5K, but that it in fact will be 8 to 12K. As with all such things, there will be a very good argument for the higher price, but unless it is in your 4K range then it may be one of those ideas that you read about in dwell magazine (or unhappy hipsters.com) and then never see implemented.
